Kanye West is not backing out after being bashed with heavy criticisms from fashion elites who thought he's first runway attempt was a 'joke' and a 'disaster'.
Instead, during his recent hour-long interview with New York radio station Power 105.1 FM on Friday, February 20, Kanye claimed, "truthfully, I'm the most influential person in footwear".
We previously reported that New York Fashion Week creator Fern Mallis said she was neither a fan of the rapper's music nor his latest Adidas collection he showcased at the 2015 New York Fashion Week.

Mallis told The New York Post she was "a bit over Kanye" and that "the attitude and the agenda [of the rapper] is not my style".
Kanye however jumped on Twitter, Friday February 20, to address Fern's candid opinion. He wrote:
"To Fern Mallis, I just want you to understand that attempting to do clothing has been very difficult and I have encountered countless amounts of bigotry along the way.
"I have millions of ideas and I represent a new generation just trying to express themselves in a broken world.
"I don't call myself a designer as I was not allowed to go to Saint Martins."
Central Saint Martins is a prestigious art school in London which has helped the likes of top fashion designers such asJohn Galliano, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen get on top of the fashion business.
According to the “Power” hit-maker he was not allowed to go to Saint Martins as he was "too famous" and his fame has hindered rather than helped him "do clothing".
Disagreeing with Kanye's remarks, a spokesperson for the college told Newsbeat that would not be a good enough reason for someone not to be allowed to attend the school.
Kanye has designed trainers for Nike, Reebok, Louis Vuitton, Adidas and Bathing Ape.
Kanye didn't end his Twitter rant without being sarcastic! He concluded: "If you wanna have a drink with me, book a table at the spotted pig when I'm back in NY.”
