More drama as Switzerland gets Britain’s request to probe Diezani’s ally Kola Aluko, he also faces extradition to UK

According to Punch there were strong indications on Wednesday that Switzerland might extradite Nigerian oil baron, Kola Aluko, to the United Kingdom.
The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, in an email to one of its correspondents, confirmed that the UK had sought for mutual legal assistance from its country.

In an e-mail sent to it, the office of the AGF of Switzerland was asked if it had received extradition request from the UK on the businessman.
It was also asked to specify the time the extradition process would begin and when he would be extradited.
In his response, Nathalie Guth of the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, said:
“I refer to your request of today and we can confirm that the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) has received a request for mutual legal assistance from England in this context.”
He declined to give further information on the request.
“The mutual legal assistance” could lead to eventual extradition of Aluko to the UK in connection with the investigation of former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
When Punch contacted the spokesperson for the UK High Commission in Abuja on Wednesday,Joe Abuku, he said:
“I can’t give any information on the extradition issue because the official that would brief me is out of town and cannot be reached on the phone, but I will try and get him tomorrow (today),” he said.
A top security official in the United Kingdom told The PUNCH that:
“There are srong links between the former oil minister and Aluko. Extradition is not out of question.”
Aluko is an associate of former Petroleum Minister, Alison-Madueke, who was arrested in the UK last week for alleged bribery and money laundering.

Woman arrested for having sex with passed-out-drunk boyfriend in the middle of a parking lot in broad daylight

A woman in Virginia named Kimberly Jackson, 36, was arrested for having sex with her unconscious boyfriend in a parking lot in broad daylight outside a busy shopping area in East Virginia Beach Boulevard on Tuesday September 8th. When police was called to the scene of the sex act by mortified passersby, they found the man, Earl Palmer, unresponsive while the woman straddled him. They later told police, they did it because they were drunk...

The sex act while lasted for a few minutes was filmed by passersby and shared on social media...

The woman was charged with public drunkenness but was released out of the jail the next day.

Speaking about it to reporters later, Kimberly said "I was in the mood, and that's basically what happened,' and then she blamed it on the excessive consumption of alcohol
Her man later came to her defence. He claimed he agreed at the last minute to have sex but passed out from drinking.
'I'm here trying to clear her name and let them know I consented to that. I just didn't finish the job, as you could say. Everyone wants to do something spontaneous. I'm not being disrespectful to you. Have you ever done anything spontaneous?' he told WTKR:

Man chases away his 4 albino children and wife, calling them a curse

Salongo Kawuki Bwogere abandoned his wife, 35-year-old Faridah Nantumbwe and his children after she gave birth to the fourth albino child two years ago. Her told his wife that in their clan they did not produce albinos, whom he described as a curse.

He also barred his wife from cultivating on their land. Nantumbwe, now resident in Mugongo, Uganda said she used to live with her husband at Kirume village Gombolola Kasambya in Mubende district where they had their children.

She narrated that after they had the fourth child her husband chased her and vowed to kill her and the children. "Although he decided to chase me away, Bwogere never provided me with transport. He just told me to find my way out of his house.

As a non-stipendiary, I had to appeal to people of good heart to bail me out of my burden of giving birth to albinos. However, through thick and thin I managed to get enough money for transport to take me to my home at Mugongo where I now live with my children," Despite her ordeal, Nantumbwe has vowed not to abandon her children like her husband did.

She is currently seeking financial and any other assistance from people of good will, to raise her children. "After all they are human beings like other children who are not albinos". Faridah gave birth to her first child, Ivan Ssewagudde at the age of 20. She said she was shocked to see that she had given birth to a 'white' child and so was her husband, little did she know what lay ahead.

Next came the twins, Allan Wasswa and Amon Kato now aged 8 years. After she had her fourth child, Joan Kizza Nakabugo, 6, her husband woke up one morning and told her to immediately leave with her children. Nantumbwe has become a case of stigma among her in-laws and the community.

They have branded her unfaithful to her husband else how did she give birth to albinos? "When I gave birth to other children of the same colour, it became worse; people in the community used to gossip about. me all the time. They considered me to be a curse. It is terrible to have children of albinism. I am terrified and I fear for them because they might develop problems as they do not have natural protection from the sun that affects them so much.

As a single mother I do not have money to provide the necessary feeding and clothing to protect them as they have tender skins. I need to monitor them constantly to make sure they do not get sun burnt. Now that the father of my children abandoned us, I appeal to all people of good will to come to my rescue because I love my children and I want to raise them.

They are lovely. I need to feed them properly and take them to school to have the necessary education, because they have the brains and they are intelligent. My husband’s family members also branded me a 'mother of ghosts'. So I have nowhere to turn to other than to people of good will and to the Government. Nantumbwe revealed that her in-laws have a history of albinism.

According to her, before her father in-law passed away last year, he had told her that his elder brother had fathered four albino children. "He encouraged me and said not to get worried as it was hereditary in their family." Unfortunately, he passed on before her husband chased her away.

Nantumbwe currently earns a meagre living from doing peoples’ laundry and gardening. "I feel bad my children are not going to school and sometimes we sleep without a meal or a drink. I call upon President Museveni to come to my rescue as he has always done with many other people in this country, because I am in dire need of assistance with my children.

We have nowhere to live decently," she appealed. She is grateful to those who have assisted. 11-year-old Ssewagudde, the elder of Nantumbwe’s children is also appealing for help. "Our father abandoned us, because he does not want even to look at us. We are a curse to him. We pray God to help our mother so that she provides for us." he said.

Teen charged with murder after stomping girlfriend’s 2yr old crying daughter to death

A Minneapolis teen stomped his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter to death to keep her from crying.
Cody Feran-Baum, 17, admitted to investigators he kicked little Sophia O’Neill in the back, laid her on the floor and stomped on her back, authorities said.

“It was, it was bad,” Feran-Baum said when asked how hard he’d kicked the tot. “It was hard.”
The vicious blows split the girl’s left kidney and pancreas in two, ripped her liver loose from a ligament, fractured eight ribs and collapsed a lung.

Feran-Baum, who is not Sophia’s father, was babysitting on June 9 while the mother left the house.
The little girl started to scream and cry for her mom, and Feran-Baum claimed he couldn’t get her to stop. He tried a time out, food and putting the girl down for a nap.

“And then, I don’t know, I kinda snapped on her,” he said, according to the criminal complaint. “And I put her in a corner and I, I, I don’t know. I just kicked her in the back.”

He replayed the sickening sequence for investigators, using a doll to show how he booted the sobbing child and then slammed his foot down on her back.

The girl somehow survived the night. Feran-Baum told the girl’s 20-year-old mom, identified as S.S. in court papers, the toddler wasn’t feeling well.

The mom gave her Motrin pain relievers and tried to cool a fever by putting her in a bath.
It wasn’t until 12:30 p.m. the next day that the girl nodded out and Feran-Baum went for help. The teen asked to borrow a neighbor’s phone to call his grandfather, returning 10 minutes later with the limp child in his arms.

The neighbor began CPR and insisted on calling 911, despite Feran-Baum’s repeated requests to just drive them to the hospital, authorities said.

Hospital staff rushed Sophia into a stabilization room and worked on her for nine hours. The girl flatlined twice and was resuscitated twice before she finally died.
Feran-Baum and Sophia’s mother lived with his grandparents.
His grandmother, Barbara Whetstone, said she didn’t think Feran-Baum would hurt the child.
“I can’t believe it,” “I can’t believe it.”

But the grandfather told investigators the teen had never been around children and couldn’t understand why a child would cry. The grandfather had advised the boy to be patient.

Prosecutors filed second-degree murder charges against Feran-Baum on Monday.

“This was a brutal beating that is almost beyond comprehension,” Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said in a statement.

He vowed to seek the stiffest penalty possible if he’s convicted.
Feran-Baum’s family attended his first appearance on Monday in juvenile court.
“Love you, Cody,” they cried. “Love you, buddy.”

A hearing is set for July 9 to determine whether the teen will be tried as an adult.

Woman resigns rather than issue gay marriage licence in the US

Linda Barnette has issued marriage licenses in Grenada County, Missisipi for 24yrs. On Tuesday June 30th, she resigned rather than issue gay marriage licenses, writing in her letter of resignation;
"I choose to obey God rather than man. I am a follower of Christ and I believe strongly that the Bible is my final authority. The Bible teaches that a marriage is to be between a man and a woman. Therefore, because of the recent ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court, I can no longer fulfill my duties as Circuit Clerk and issue marriage licenses to same sex couples."
“I told my supervisors a while back if it happened, I would tender my resignation. I had already decided in my heart that I could not issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. It’s my Christian belief. As a follower of Christ, I could not do it. The Bible teaches it is contrary to His plan.” she told a Fox News reporter

Relationship tips: 4 smart ways to resolve arguments with your partner

Couple arguing
According to recent studies, the feeling of both love and hate is totally normal because the the same area of your brain that activates mushy feelings is also responsible for producing rage - which is why sometimes you feel so much love for your partner and other times you want to scratch their eyes out of anger.
Relationship expert, Bonnie Eaker Weil, Ph.D., author of Make Up, Don't Break up says "Arguing can be a sign that your relationship is strong and passionate, and that you're comfortable enough to express negative feelings without fear of losing each other in the process". This means there are right ways to resolve arguments with your partner.
Jennifer Benjamin of Women's Health Daily lists 4 major ways couples can resolve arguments:
  1. Use Your Ears, Not Your Mouth: If you find yourself sounding like a playlist on repeat, try pressing pause. "Research has found that unhappy couples tend to repeat themselves out of desperation to be heard, which isn't productive. They wind up talking at each other instead of having a dialogue," says Benjamin Karney, Ph.D., co director of the Relationship Institute at the University of California at Los Angeles.
  2. Don't Make It Personal: In the heat of an argument, the gloves often come off. The problem, notes Rita DeMaria, Ph.D., director of relationship education at the Council for Relationships in Philadelphia, is that once nasty insults start flying around and feelings are hurt, nothing will be resolved. Also, according to a study conducted at the University of Chicago, our brains have a built-in "negativity bias," which causes us to be more responsive to unpleasant news. Why? Back in caveman times, our survival as a species was dependent on our ability to stay out of danger, so our brains developed protective systems that made it impossible to overlook the bad. That's why you need to minimize the negative impact of your words. Remember, the goal isn't to upset each other, it's to resolve an issue. So instead of exclaiming "You're so lazy!" tell him how his actions affect you. Try, "I get tired of planning everything for us and wish you would take over sometimes."
  3. Stop Trying to Figure Out Who Wins: It may be a lovers' quarrel, but victory isn't declared when one of you staggers back to the bedroom, clutching your wounded heart in your hands. "People often fixate on who's right, which distracts them from finding a solution," says Karney. "Conflicts are resolved quickly and more successfully when neither party feels compelled to proclaim, 'See that? I'm right!' " For starters, find something you both can agree on (even if it means admitting that, OK, maybe you do send him a few too many texts while he's out with his friends). Then focus on finding a happy medium. For example, say, "I know it annoys you when I bombard you with text messages, but I get worried when you take forever to reply. Let's find a way to handle this so that we're both comfortable." This way, there's much less toddler-like head butting.
  4. Remember You're a Couple: We know this is a tall order, but if you can express positive emotions during an argument, you'll have a more satisfying relationship two or three years down the road, according to a study published in the Journal of Marriage and Family. "When couples are able to communicate closeness, affection (for example, a touch on the arm or the cheek), and even humor in the midst of an argument, the impact of harsher words is diminished," Karney says. "Positive interactions say that you still like and love each other, and you're committed to the relationship even in the worst of times." And you can even go a step further by incorporating some playful ribbing: Couples who lightly tease each other during a conflict wind up feeling more in love when the disagreement finally blows over, according to a study conducted at the University of California at Berkeley. It may mean using funny nicknames for each other or making a self-deprecating joke. Just steer clear of comments that may wound your egos, such as negative remarks about intelligence, personal hygiene, or bedroom behavior. It comes down to this: Even though your guy has the ability to drive you up the wall sometimes, at the end of the day you really do love the big lug—and if you can remember this during the toughest moments together, your bond will remain strong.

Couple who were married for 75 years died just hours apart as they held hands in bed

Jeanette Toczko, 96, and her 95-year-old husband, Alexander Toczko, from San Diego, California, died just hours apart as they held hands in bed.

The pair spent their lives in love after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend when they were only eight years old.

But several weeks ago, Mr Toczko suffered a broken hip in a fall and was left bed-bound. A local hospice delivered a special bed to his home, which staff pushed up next to his beloved wife's bed.
As Mr Toczko's condition quickly declined, Mrs Toczko's own health took a turn for the worse. The couple had always said they wished to die 'in their own bed, holding hands, in each other's arms'.

"She kept asking us, 'What is today, what is today?' We said it was June. She said it's June 29th, and June 29th is their 75th wedding anniversary," said Toczko-Cushman.

The family went along with it, buying balloons and flowers to celebrate, in bed.

"And we said happy anniversary, and my mother was thrilled to death because it was their anniversary and she knew that he was going and that they had made it to 75 years," said Toczko-Cushman.

The couple's daughter, Aimee Toczko-Cushman, described the moment she told her mother she had lost her husband, who kept a photo of Mrs Toczko at her Holy Communion in his wallet.

'I told my mother he was gone,'. 'She hugged him and she said, "See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon".

The family left, leaving the couple to share their final moments together.
"Even the hospice nurse said it was the most incredible thing to see the two of them taking those last breaths together," Toczko-Cushman said.

"I knew she wasn't go to last too much longer," Toczko said
"And he died in her arms, which is exactly what he wanted. I went in there and told my mother he was gone; she hugged him and she said, 'See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon,'" said Toczko-Cushman. "It was tough," said Toczko.

The couple who were married for 75 years have fulfilled their final wish to die in each other's arms after they passed away clutching hands, within hours of each other, in their bed.

About 24 hours later, it became time for Jeanette to join her husband.

"They both entered the pearly gates holding hands," said Toczko.

The Toczkos have since been buried.

Alexander Toczko was a World War II veteran.

Photos: Iphone case that looks like a hand gun now being sold

Black men in the US better stay away from this phone case...police can mistake it for a gun. If they are being shot unarmed, imagine if a police officer saw this. The controversial new phone case which is shaped like a handgun is now being sold on Amazon for $10 and critics are calling it a 'deathtrap'. In fact, NYPD is begging people not to buy the case to avoid issues with police ...

Retired New Jersey state trooper and firearms instructor Al Della Fave told CNN Money:
“Most kids carry their cellphone in their back pocket and if someone reaches for it, in my mind they're reaching for a gun. The first thing they're going to see as it's coming up is the trigger guard and the butt of the gun. This doesn't seem like a good idea at all to me.”

US man applies to marry a second wife following legalization of gay marriage

Well, in Nigeria, you can marry more than one wife, but not in the US. All 50 states outlaws bigamy and holding multiple marriage licenses. But following last week's U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage, a Montana man said yesterday that he will apply for a marriage license so that he can legally wed his second wife.

Nathan Collier and his wives Victoria and Christine applied at the Yellowstone County Courthouse in Billings on Tuesday in an attempt to legitimize their polygamous marriage. Collier said he plans to sue if the application is denied.

"It's about marriage equality," Collier told The Associated Press Wednesday. "You can't have this without polygamy."

County clerk officials initially denied Collier's application, then said they would consult with the county attorney's office before giving him a final answer, Collier said.

Yellowstone County chief civil litigator Kevin Gillen said he is reviewing Montana's bigamy laws and expected to send a formal response to Collier by next week.
"I think he deserves an answer," Gillen said, but added his review is finding that "the law simply doesn't provide for that yet."

The Supreme Court's ruling on Friday made gay marriages legal nationwide. Chief Justice John Roberts said in his dissent that people in polygamous relationships could make the same legal argument that not having the opportunity to marry disrespects and subordinates them.

Collier, 46, said that dissent inspired him. He owns a refrigeration business in Billings and married Victoria, 40, in 2000. He and his second wife, Christine, had a religious wedding ceremony in 2007 but did not sign a marriage license to avoid bigamy charges, he said.

Collier said he is a former Mormon who was excommunicated for polygamy and now belongs to no religious organization. He said he and his wives hid their relationship for years, but became tired of hiding and went public by appearing on the reality cable television show "Sister Wives."

The three have seven children of their own and from previous relationships.
"My second wife Christine, who I'm not legally married to, she's put up with my crap for a lot of years. She deserves legitimacy," he said.

Collier said he sent an email asking the ACLU of Montana to represent him in a possible lawsuit. ACLU legal director Jim Taylor said he has not seen the request.

Taylor said he has no opinion on Collier's claims, though the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage "is about something very different."

Anne Wilde, a co-founder of the polygamy advocacy organization Principle Voices located in Utah, said Collier's application is the first she's heard of in the nation, and that most polygamous families in Utah are not seeking the right to have multiple marriage licenses.
"Ninety percent or more of the fundamentalist Mormons don't want it legalized, they want it decriminalized," Wilde said.

A federal judge struck down parts of Utah's anti-polygamy law two years ago, saying the law violated religious freedom by prohibiting cohabitation. Bigamy is still illegal.

The state has appealed the ruling, and the case is pending in the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Wilde said most polygamous families are satisfied with the judge's ruling and believe taking it further to include multiple marriage licenses would bring them under the unwanted jurisdiction of the government.
But she said the Supreme Court's decision on gay marriage should strengthen their chance of winning the appeal.

"We hope the Supreme Court decision will show the direction the nation is going," she said. "It's more liberal, it's more understanding about people forming the families the way they want."

Overweight woman flaunts her muscular new physique

An overweight 27 year old Canadian woman shed a third of her body weight, she went from being overweight in high school to placing in national bodybuilding tournaments. Trista Elaschuk who used to weigh 195lbs now weighs only 130lbs and is now participating in various bodybuilding competitions.

Trista said she decided to lose weight after high school so she joined weight watchers and lost 50lbs but like so many other people she gained weight again. However, when she met her current bf Kale, he inspired her to lose the wiehgt and maintain it.
About a year after they met, in November 2010, they went on a double date to their first bodybuilding convention. There, she felt in awe of the professional bodybuilders, and realized that she, too, could compete.
'I was so inspired and motivated by these women on stage and knew I had to be one of them,' she explained.
So Trista hired a coach, who worked with her for 23 weeks to get ready for her first competition.
'I traded in partying and binge eating on the weekends for heavy lifting and meal prep,' she wrote on her Facebook page. All that hard work paid off - her debut was at the Southern Alberta Bodybuilding Championship, where she placed three out of 15.
'I struggled with weight my entire life and went on my first diet at the age of 16,' she said in a recent interview. 'I knew I had to made a change.'
