Music producer Peter Dawkins dies, 68


Legendary New Zealand music producer Peter Dawkins has died after a fall at his Australian home.
Australian media report the 68-year-old died at his rural New South Wales home on Friday.
Born in Timaru, Dawkins started out as a drummer, touring Europe in the mid-1960s with bands Me And The Others, and The New Nadir.
He returned home in 1968 and started a production career with HMV Records.
He produced around 30 number one pop hits including Nature, by The Fourmyula.
