Beats Electronics' lawsuit says that fake Beats headphones generate $135 billion in revenu
Dr. Dre’s Beats Electronics is suing
a group of websites based in China, alleging that the sites are making
billions of dollars in profit by selling counterfeit Beats Electronics
headphones, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.
The story says that the fake headphones sport the “b” logo featured on Beats’ headphones and have generated $135 billion in revenue.
The lawsuit seeks to halt the sales of the knock-off
headphones and to seize ownership of the fraudulent domain names that
sell the bogus headphones.
TMZ says Beats Electronics also wants all profits from the sale of the counterfeit Beats Electronics headphones.
